The accumulation of rain over the last 2 weeks has resulted in waterlogged soils and ponding of water in many local fields. Many growers are wondering what the impact on their crops will be. This article attempts to shed some light on that question.

Most farmers have seen varying degrees of saturated soils or ponding in areas of their fields in years past and know that their crops will be impacted. While it’s impossible to accurately assess the impact this early, we can talk about what factors will contribute to yield loss.
